·    Company Setup - A new option has been added to company setup which will allow you to select a default value for the print dialog - Print Later, Print Now, Don't Print - that displays when posting A/R Invoices.  When posting an invoice (non-counter sale invoices), the value pre-selected in company setup will be automatically selected.  The default value for counter sale invoices is still Print Now.

·    Database Maintenance—The SuccessWare21 Database Maintenance utility allows you to backup your SuccessWare21 MSSQL databases and perform other basic database maintenance options with the single push of a button.  These options include database backup, integrity check, index cleanup, database shrinking and disk space monitoring.  This Database Maintenance feature is intended for SuccessWare21 databases installed on SQLExpress, but can be used for MSDE or SQL Server installations as well.  Click here for more information.

·    Job Number on Vendor Invoice—The vendor invoice (and receipt) now has a Job Number field on the header portion of the screen.  This field functions the same way Job Number functions on the purchase order.  If a job number is entered, the job number for all line items must match the header job number.  If the receipt/vendor invoice was created from a purchase order, the field will show the job number from the PO and will be disabled.  This number will be used for two purposes:

-    to facilitate the ability to create/open vendor invoices for a particular job number.  This feature has been added as a right-click popup menu option in the Job Manager, Job Form, and Call Center.

-    to facilitate the ability to report by Job Number on the A/P Invoice List and the Open Payables Report.

·    "New" action/button on Vendor Invoice—The vendor invoice form now has a button so that a new invoice can be created without having to close the form, helping to streamline the process for entering many invoices back-to-back.  The new invoice will be created by default with the same vendor as that on the current invoice.

·    New Subdivision field on Location Details—Added a Subdivision field to the Location Details form (and rearranged the form to fit).  Also added Subdivision (and the existing LotID field) to Call Taking which update the location when the phone call is posted.

-    Subdivisions are set up in the Reference Library under Customer Service.

-    Subdivision in used to filter, sort, and group on several reports including the Location List, Equipment List, Job/Call Reports, Sales Lead Tracking, and A/R Invoice Sales Reports.

-    The Customer Search form has also been modified to allow searching by Subdivision.

-    Subdivision is also available as a field to be added to email paging messages.

·    Task items on counter sale invoices—You can now specify task categories to allow on counter sale invoices by unchecking the 'exclude from counter sale' check box on task category detail form.  This will allow you to add any of the tasks in that category to counter sale invoices.  Tasks probably should not normally be available for counter sale invoices, but this option can help facilitate making multiple prices (price levels) available for over the counter part sales by setting up a task for each part with a single part as the task detail with no labor component included on the task.

·    Employee Manager - Added the ability to create new SuccessWare21 users for your employees recorded in the Employee Manager.  This feature, accessed via a right click in the Employee Manager, will open the user form for a user with a username and full name defaulting to the employee code and employee name.  You will need only to assign a password and a user group.  This feature is particularly useful when setting up users for the SWremote field service solution.

·    Canada recently enacted new standards for the formatting of computer generated checks.  A new check format has been added, Format E - Canada, compatible with new Canadian Payments Association requirements effective July 1, 2007.

·    Adjust Codes and Subaccounts – Changes have been made in the setup of adjust codes, distribution codes, and expense types in relation to subaccounted G/L accounts.  To find out more about this feature click here.

·    New Invoice Tracking Module - A new module has been added that allows the tracking of preprinted invoices that are given to technicians.  Invoice numbers given to technicians are matched up against invoice numbers entered into the system helping to ensure that every invoice is accounted for.  To find out more about this feature click here.

When typing a job number into the Job No field and tabbing, the software would get into an endless loop continuously prompting to verify the job, whether to change all items, and whether to accept all the changes.

When all items and splits were updated because of a job number change to the invoice, sometimes all splits were not getting updated.

On an invoice with a line item for a new agreement, updating the line item / agreement was not correcting the agreement in SuccessWare21.  This has been changed to apply the modifications, as long as the agreement has not been edited already in SuccessWare21.  If the agreement has already been filled out in SuccessWare21, the attempted change will be rejected.  In this case, if the remote application needs to "fix" the previously submitted agreement, the line item can be deleted from the invoice and a new line item/agreement can be submitted.

Piece Rate Assistant

Pay Now now automatically recalculates after changing Pct of Job, Invoicing Complete, or Estimated Sale Amounts (when Invoicing Complete is not checked).  Note that the Invoicing Complete checkbox control must be exited before the recalculation occurs.

If Pay Now is modified manually, the Currently Owed amount (now different from Pay Now) is now highlighted in yellow.

Added a Recalc action/button which can be useful to force a recalculation of Pay Now without having to change information or reset.

After generating new miscellaneous wages, the form now automatically recalculates to take the new wages into effect.

After returning from Miscellaneous Wages, the user is now offered an option to reset, in the case where changes were made that might affect the calculations.

The Posted view was not displaying messages when the view could not be opened because of insufficient search criteria.

Some filter values - vendor no, vendor name, etc. - were carrying over between into the Unposted view and being applied to the results displayed in the grid, but the filter values were not being displayed in the controls above the grid resulting in misleading results.  The filter values will no longer spill over into the Unposted view from the other views.

A/R Invoice

When attempting to void a counter sale invoice before deleting any line items that had been entered, the system would automatically verify and requisition the items on the invoice.  Then it would be necessary to un-verify items before deleting the items from the invoice and voiding.  Now the system will issue a message that the items must be deleted before voiding and will not process the items as before.

Service Location List Report

When using the No History option, a false record count was being displayed.  This is one situation where every customer needs to be examined in order to determine whether it will be included in the report so there is no benefit in trying to issue a count.  It now displays a message that a valid count cannot be determined.

Agreement Deferral Analysis and Reserve Analysis Reports

Added an option to exclude terminated agreements as of the transaction thru date as long as transaction from date is not entered.  This is possible since all agreements terminated as of the transaction end date will net out to a zero deferred/reserved balance anyway.

Account Register

The system was allowing account reconciliation while in opening balance mode.  While this did not cause any serious problems, the system would still appear to be in opening balance mode after reconciliation and available menu options were not consistent with a reconciled account.  Entering the reconciliation view now forces the system out of opening balance mode.

A/R Invoice Detail

When importing part detail from tags, or accessing the job tag manager to reconcile with inventory, a message will be displayed warning you of any 'unposted' requisition or returns.  This is important because part from 'unposted' requisitions or returns will not show up in the part import list, or in tags to be reconciled in the job tag manager.

Job Tag Manager

When selecting 'Post Inventory Transactions', a check is made to see if any 'unposted' inventory requisitions or returns exist.  If they do, you will not be allowed to post the transactions here.  The 'unposted' requisitions and returns may contain parts that should be showing up here, but are not because the requisition or return is not posted.  Posting additional requisitions or returns here could create duplicate transactions.

Job Scorecard, Invoice Scorecard Reports

When using a report filter and the value entered/selected contained a space, the report would fail with the error "Incorrect syntax near the keyword LIKE".

Subcontractors were not showing up in the dropdowns when attempting to select a specific technician or salesperson for the report.

Agreement

Added a scroll bar to the visit notes field in the Agreement Visits/Values screen.

It was possible to get an active agreement into edit mode by clicking and typing characters into Visit Notes in the Visits/Values screen.

SWAPI, SWHttpServer

On some servers/networks, the service cannot browse service subfolders.  This caused the DLLs not to load and SWAPI to return the error "service version not supported". A change was made to force the DLL load if the folders cannot be browsed/found.

When the option to print Task Notes on the printed invoice was selected, the invoice was not printing the task notes for a task associated with the visit type for an agreement visit line item.

Entering a Unit Cost with a dollar sign would throw an "invalid floating point" error.  This has been corrected.

If inventory counting was turned off, adjusting inventory transactions that had been posted prior to the count being turned off would post inventory transactions and make tags.

Pricebook Item List Report

Added an option so that the report can be printed with either category and group codes or category and group descriptions.  Previously the report automatically used category and group descriptions.

The report will no longer truncate the category and group descriptions.  They will wrap to a the next line if longer than the allotted space in the report.

Agreement Form

When editing an agreement that was created from a field service application (e.g. SWremote) through SWAPI, the agreement form now prompts you to complete the agreement and ensures that the final agreement entry match what was entered in the field as far as years, total amount and collected amount.

If a partial receipt was made for a PO and one of the items on the receipt was over received (received more than expected), subsequent receipts for the PO would cause a negative receipt quantity to show on the A/P Item Distribution Report for the over received item.

SWAPI HTTP Server Administrator

In order to enable the user to install and start the API Service without having to manually set properties, SSL will be turned on by default and the Database connection properties will populate automatically.  Properties can still be manually overridden.

Part Item Detail

When editing a part item in the pricebook, and deleting vendor items, the last, or only, vendor item for a part could not be deleted.  It would appear to go away, but would return when Vendors for Item was re-opened.

Call Progress

Made a modification to the defaulting of AM/PM when neither AM or PM is specified.  The system will no longer attempt to adjust to PM for dispatched time when sensing that the the AM deefaulted dispatched time entry would be less than the notified time.  Onsite or completed times will still be adjusted to PM if a defaulted AM time would be earlier than the previous time (dipatched or onsite).

Account Register

Filters from account reconciliation were sometimes being carried over into transaction review.  This could cause unexpected problems.  For example, if a deposit was posted while the filter was on, the deposit item would end up disconnected from the cash box items that made up the deposit and from the general ledger entries for the deposit.

Call Progress

Enhanced the feature to fill in the AM/PM value of the time recorded for Dispatched, Onsite, and Completed when AM/PM is not specified by the user.  If AM or PM is omitted during data entry and the system determines AM using its normal procedures, but the time would be prior to the previous call progress time, it will be switched to PM.
