RELEASE 1.5.200.36 11/19/04
11/18/2004
Call Taking
Since version 1.5.200.34, a concern or other phone call
could not be posted without a name and address entered. This is too restrictive and has been
modified. Concern and other calls do
not need a name and address unless an existing location had been
selected. This still prevents name and
address information from being deleted out of existing locations which was
the intent of the original change in 1.5.200.34.
11/18/2004
Billing Account History, Vendor Account History
Since build 1.5.2.35, sometimes an unintended 'Adjustment
posting canceled' or 'Payment posting canceled' would occur when closing the
form. This was not causing any
problems with posted adjustments or payments.
11/16/2004
Call Progress
Occasionally attempting to delete out the completed time
on an assignment would fail with the error 'Field "SchedDuration"
cannot be modified'.
RELEASE 1.5.200.35 11/16/04
11/15/2004
Billing Account History, Vendor History
When aging a single account and the aging calculations
have not been posted (Post and Undo buttons are enabled), the message 'Cancel
updates?' will now appear when attempting to close the form.
The last selected item is now re-focused after canceling
(Undo button) aging calculations.
11/15/2004
Billing Account History
When aging a single account, the Undo button was not responding.
11/15/2004
Agreement ListReport, Agreement
Profitability Report, and Renewal Notices
These reports were not always showing the correct current
billing account (location default).
11/15/2004
Comm Center
Added a field to display the length of the message being
entered.
11/12/2004
Job
If you created a new sales job and went directly to Job
Summary to create the install job, the software would not allow it. It would display the message, 'New job currently
open for this customer'. The same
error would occur when attempting to create more than one project phase job
at the same time. The software will
now allow these situations, but will still only allow one job at a time to be
created using the New Job button on the Customer form.
11/12/2004
Agreement List, Billings Due, Due For Renewal, and Pending
Renewals Reports
The address and/or customer name for an agreement at the
top of a new page was sometimes incorrect.
11/11/2004
Scorecard Reports
Added filtering for specific technician, department, etc.
RELEASE 1.5.200.34 11/11/04
11/10/2004
Scorecard Reports
Added options for user selected periods and date ranges.
Added figures for Add-on tasks to the reports.
11/10/2004
Pay Bills
Fix the cause of occasional Access Violation and Table
Busy errors when printing checks.
These errors would typically occur after a check that required a
remittance report had printed.
11/9/2004
Account Register
When making a payment to another register account, the
button for popping up the form for entering an address is now visible. This is useful particularly when making
payments to credit card accounts.
Previously you had to use a right mouse click to get an option for
address.
11/8/2004
Billing Account History, Vendor Account History
When the form is first opened, the last (most current)
entry is focused in order to avoid always having to scroll to the bottom, or use
the OPEN filter, for accounts that have a lot of history.
11/8/2004
Vendor Account History
The "NEG" (Include Negated Entries) filter
indicator was not lighting up when selected.
11/5/2004
Call Taking
You could start a non-IsService
phone call, enter no information, and post it. This created a prospect record in the
Location table where almost all columns are NULL. The system now requires a minimum amount of
information - name address, and phone number.
Also, you could select a location, delete out the
location information - name, address, etc., and then post the phone
call. Posting would clear out all the
information on the location, and billing account if it had a carbon copy
account. This can no longer occur.
11/5/2004
A/R Invoice
The Pmts/Credits and Current Balance fields were not
getting refreshed when switching between multiple invoices for a job within
the A/R Invoice form.
11/5/2004
Job Summary Analysis Report
Added Job Instructions to the report (when Show
Expanded Detail is selected).
11/4/2004
Call Center
Clicking on the employee header in the call center to
refresh tech hints a second time while still in the process of compiling the
figures would result in an access violation near address 0098xxxx.
RELEASE 1.5.200.33 11/3/04
11/3/2004
Agreement Manager
Added highlighting of expired credit cards. In the Billings Due view and the Periodic Invoices
view, the credit card expiration date is now highlighted in red when expired
and yellow if expiring in the current month.
There is also a filter 'EC' to filter the views for only those items
with expired/expiring credit cards.
Note that the indicator only displays in the Periodic Invoices view
for unposted invoices. Expired credit cards should be addressed
before posting the invoices.
11/3/2004
Agreement
After opening an agreement and making changes, sometimes
the changes would not be reflected after returning to the Agreement Manager.
11/2/2004
Account Register
If a transaction (payment, adjustment, or transfer)
was posted while a completed reconciliation period was selected rather than
the current period, the running balance for the new transaction was not
calculating. Also, after posting, the
account will now be automatically switched to the current statement period
with the new transaction focused.
11/1/2004
Pay Bills
When using a print dialog when printing checks (Use
Printer Dialog checked in Print Alignment), the selections made for the first
check were not carrying over to the subsequent checks. Subsequent checks would always print to the
default printer.
11/1/2004
Account Register - Payment, Check Register Report
Sometimes the reference book lookup for register
account would not include all accounts for selection.
10/29/2004

Added the option to print the report based upon agreement
termination date range.
10/29/2004

(SHIFT+CTRL+T), Import Requisitioned Parts (SHIFT+CTRL+R), and Verify Part
Cost (SHIFT+CTRL+V).
10/28/2004

When opening a job, if the Enter key was pressed
before the Job form opened the error "qryAssignments:
dataset not in edit or insert mode" would occur.
10/28/2004
Account Register - Payment
When making a payment from a bank account to a cash
box account, the item is now recorded in the cash box as "Cash"
instead of "Other" so that it the cash box can be properly
reconciled.

mobile application.
10/5/2004

Call Progress, Timecard
Some failures when attempting to update the timecard, primarily
from Call Progress, would attempt to display an error message on the screen
which would cause the error 'A database transaction failed to complete...' to
display and then the program would shut down.
Instead of trying to display the message, it will now be logged to the
event log in order to avoid the shutdown.
RELEASE 1.5.200.26 9/03/04
8/31/2004

the mouse is being dragged.

period could be posted resulting in the situation where these timecard entries
could no longer be modified (completed).

into the total earnings for the period in which the wages were released.

Added PostedBy column to the
Transactions view of the Inventory Manager.
Agreement Manager
If, for whatever reason, a billing had been skipped
and the From Date is always used when processing Billings Due the skipped
billing would continue to be missed month after month. Now when generating the Billings Due list,
if the system detects any billings prior to the From Date entered, a warning
message will be displayed.
8/20/2004
Pricebook
When saving changes to Default Pricing Formulas, the
message "Cancel changes and close?" would erroneously display. The form would not close until Yes was

RELEASE 1.5.200.24 8/19/04
8/18/2004
Inventory
When using receipts from PO's the last cost of the
item was getting updated by the receipt, but not the A/P invoice when it was
posted. Now if the cost is modified on
the A/P invoice that will post to the item's last cost.
8/18/2004
Agreement
It was possible to make an agreement converted, modify
the sale date to be on or after the G/L activation date, and then commit the
converted agreement. The agreement will
now not be allowed to be committed until the sale date is changed back to be
prior to the activation date.
8/18/2004
A/P Checks
Remittance reports had an incorrect NET AMOUNT (check)
total when the report spanned multiple pages.
8/18/2004

There was a field called Reported Hours on the labor
page of Cost Entry that always showed zero.
This field is not used and has been removed from the screen.
8/17/2004

would fail with the error ‘Key violation: Cannot insert NULL value…’.

8/17/2004
Call Center
On some machines (those without ADO/ODBC drivers), the
error "provider cannot be found" would result when opening the call
center. This has been corrected. SuccessWare21 no longer uses the ADO/ODBC
Drivers.
8/16/2004
Vendor Part Import
Will skip items with numbers greater than 15
characters. The automatic truncation
that was occurring would causing duplicate item
numbers that would fail to import anyway.
RELEASE 1.5.200.22 8/16/04
8/16/2004
Payroll Deferred Wages
Some deferred wages (wages earned in prior periods) - for
example, those entered through the Piece Rate Assistant - were not getting
flagged as such, and therefore, were not properly triggering adjustments for
overtime earned in the prior period (when the wages were marked RegOT).
8/13/2004
Payroll - Commissions for Job
Commissions earned in a prior period were not getting
flagged as deferred wages when a commission was entered and the default date
provided was not modified.
If the employee code was changed on a commission
entry, the wage entry would show up for both employees on the Deferred Wages
report, and if the commission was RegOT overtime
adjustments due would not be generated based the commission.
8/13/2004
Payroll Deferred Wages report
An employee code was being required once you clicked
or tabbed into the employee code field.
This was unnecessary -- employee code is optional.
Ordered the query by employee. Wages for an employee were scattered
throughout the report when there were deferred wages from multiple prior
periods.
8/13/2004
Journal Entries
Sometimes after modifying and saving the date for
recurring journal entries, the error 'qryGLjournal:
Dataset not in edit or insert mode' would occur.
8/12/2004
Income Statement and Balance Sheet reports
Added the ability to export these reports to a TAB
delimited text file.
8/11/2004
A/R Invoice
On occasion, the error 'List index out of bounds (-1)'
would occur. The error typically would
occur during or after posting an invoice, but could occur at other times,
such as closing the invoice form.
RELEASE 1.5.200.21 8/11/04
8/10/2004
Payroll Wage Source report
Added a message when attempting to run the report with
no period range selected. Previously
the report would just generate a blank preview page.
8/10/2004
A/R Invoice
When selecting an expired agreement from the Charge A
menu, a message dialog is now displayed in order to confirm that you want to
charge to the expired agreement.
8/10/2004
Job, A/R Invoice
The agreement drop down menus are now sorted by most
recently created agreement at the top in order that expired agreements will
get pushed down towards the bottom of the menu.
8/10/2004
Event Log
Logoffs prevented because a particular form could not
be closed were being logged as errors.
These events are now logged as information only events.
PO event types were listed in the event log form's
drop down list, but no events are ever recorded for these event types. Removed them from the list.
8/10/2004
Job Summary
It was rather cumbersome when it was necessary to make
changes to job summary to a closed job.
Now if you have the ability to re-open jobs, you will be able to edit
job summary without having to close job summary, open the job form, re-open
the job, and go back to job summary.
8/9/2004
A/R Invoice
If a counter sale invoice was posted, adjusted, and finally
voided it was easy to overlook the fact that there were tags remaining for
processing returns to inventory. The
software will now automatically process the returns prior to voiding the
invoice. The invoice cannot be voided
until the returns are successfully completed.
RELEASE 1.5.200.20 8/09/04
8/9/2004

Added warnings in the event that deduction or employer
expense entries are found in the import file that cannot
be matched up to an employee in the payroll period.
8/9/2004
Location List report
The item count displayed prior to running the report
does not exactly match the count printed at the end of the report. Due to the nature of the report queries,
this cannot be easily corrected. But
the count prior to running the report indicates that the count is
approximate.
8/9/2004
Billing Account List report
The item count displayed prior to running the report did
not match the total count printed at the end of the report.
8/9/2004
Timecard report
On the preview screen, the totals for an employee were
incorrect when an employee's information started on one page and continued to
the next. The totals on the printed
report were OK.
8/6/2004
Pricebook
(SQL Server only) Under certain circumstances trying
to add a non-task item to the pricebook would fail
with the error 'Cannot insert NULL value in the column IsDiagItem'.
8/6/2004
Pricebook Import (Utilities)
The pricebook import was not
working in the tutorial database.
8/6/2004
Job Summary
By design, Agr Opportunity
and Extended Warranty Opp are checked by default if
the customer does not have an active agreement when the job is created. This was not working properly for jobs
created for visits from the agreement form or call center.
RELEASE 1.5.200.19 8/04/04
8/4/2004
Report Gallery
Added the Deferred Wages report to the Payroll reports
menu. This report was previously only
available from the Payroll Manager.
8/4/2004
Deferred Wages report
When the report had deferred wages earned in multiple
payroll periods, each prior period was being reported, but each of the
deferred wages entries in the current period were being applied to all of the
prior periods involved instead of just the appropriate prior period.
Modified the layout of the report to better illustrate
how the rate adjustment is being calculated.
8/4/2004
Payroll Wage Source Report
The Local Tax Withholding versions of the report were
printing some extraneous information on top of the real report data.
When using the 'No detail' option along with 'Use row shading'
many blank shaded lines would appear in the report.
Modified for report name consistency between the
Payroll Manager, Report Gallery, and the report title.

General
Added a scroll bar to the message dialog window that
displays in various parts of the software when a list of warnings or errors
is displayed. When more that 6 or 7
warnings or errors were listed, some would be hidden. Without the scroll bar it was necessary to
stretch the form, or click in the message box and use the arrow key, in order
to see the remaining messages. This
message dialog is used frequently in the inventory module.
7/23/2004

Inventory Warehouse Tag Manager
Occasionally a tag from a counter sale invoice would
get created and not resolved, generally if the counter sale invoice was not
posted. These show up in the tag
manager without a job number or warehouse number. Now there is a message below the grid identifying
the counter sale invoice number that generated the tag.
7/19/2004
Employee List report
The Employees Only option was including subcontractors
in the report.

General
A cause of the error 'List index out of bounds' has
been corrected. One place this was
occurring was immediately after saving changes on the Setup page of the
Project form when one of the radio button values had been changed.
7/9/2004
Call Taking
The error 'Field is of an unknown type' would occur if
a location or billing account search resulted in no matches, then another
search on the same field with the same value was immediately attempted.

Payroll Setup
When set up for using in-house payroll and adding new
deductions and expenses, a warning message would display every time a new
entry was inserted. The message was
only supposed to display when attempting de-select IsEmployerManaged.

Call Center, Tech Hint Options
When navigating from day to day, only the "show
figure" selected to replace the techs scheduled hours in the grid will
be queried. This increases call center
performance when several figures have been selected for display in the hint.
When only the "show figure" is queried, the
hint will only show that single figure, but includes the text to "click
for add'l info...". Clicking will force all figures to be
queried (for all employees) and displayed in the hint. These figures will be cleared when the day
is switched or at the next Tech Hint Refresh Interval.
7/7/2004
General
'Field not found' errors could occur in various places
in the software after going into Quickstart. One such error would occur in the Call
Center - 'Field DisplayColor not found'.

Agreement
When visits were scheduled in back-to-back months, in
some cases (i.e. when the number of visits per year was between two and

months.

Cash Receipts
Since version 1.4.3.22 (1.5.200.10), attempting to
post a cash receipt using the 'Auto with adjustment' option would fail with

Editing or deleting warehouse tags was getting
significantly slower as the number of tags increased.
6/29/2004
Income Statement
The Multi-departmental version of the income statement
was always reporting zero for TOTAL OTHER INCOME & EXPENSE for the
individual departments. NET PROFIT
values were still correct however.
6/29/2004
Job/Agreement
Canceling a call or job will now automatically detach
visits that had been attached to the call.
Previously this had to be done with an extra manual step.
6/29/2004
Agreement
An agreement visit was scheduled (assigned to a
job/call), and then the agreement was unactivated
and modified causing the visits to be rebuilt, the relationship between the
visit and the job/call was being severed without the job's knowledge. The Call Center would still display the
visit indicator (little 'v') even though the visit was no longer attached. Now before the agreement can be edited, the
visit must be detached from the job/call using the Visits button on the job
form.

incorrect because the system was still running the queries against the
regular company database.
6/25/2004
Call Center - Technician Hint Options
The refresh interval was not being calculated properly. The interval used was less than that
displayed in Technician Hint Options.
For example, if you set a refresh interval of 30 minutes, the actual
interval used was 12 minutes.

Cash Receipts
If the cash receipt form was opened from the Billing
Account History form, and the cash receipt posting process was canceling
during the manual allocation stage of the process by clicking the Billing
Account History form's exit (X) button instead of the Undo button, the G/L
transactions for the cash receipt were not being canceled, and would post to
the database with the next cash receipt that was posted, resulting in G/L
being out of balance with the receivables module.
6/22/2004
Sales Tracking Report
Added City, State, and Zip to the printed output (when

Job Scorecard, Job Summary
When selecting “No Charge” on Job Summary, the Total
Ticket field was being cleared (set to null).
This was causing the associated job not to count as a “No Charge” job
in the Job Scorecard. Checking the
field now sets it to ‘0.00’.
6/16/2004
Sales Invoice Items Report
The part sale, misc sale,
and labor sale was not taking into account quantity.
6/16/2004

Payroll, QBLink:
When running multiple companies, QBLink
was not displaying the correct Successware company

display that was incorrect.
5/24/2004

In the Payroll Manager, Reset All Rates would not

When reconciling with a payroll service, if a
