What’s New in 1.8.900.8

·         Purchase Order Note/Comment You can now enter a note that will print on all purchase orders printed from SuccessWare®21.  To enter the note, go to the “21” Main Menu | Setup | Company Setup.  Select the Other tab and enter “Purchase order note” that you would like to print on all purchase orders.  The note will print at the bottom of the purchase order, only on the first page when there are multiple pages to the PO.

·         Workstation Configurations (LAN only) SuccessWare®21 will now automatically attempt to set certain workstation configuration settings.  The program may request elevated privileges on the workstation when doing so.  Settings included:

·         Third Party Contract and Claims the following improvements have been made to this feature, click here for more information.

o    For each plan type the number of systems covered can be set

o    Contract Number length has been increased from 10 to 20 characters

o    A new field called contract comments has been added

o    A customer search can now be performed for third party contract numbers

o    A Third Party Contract Plan Type List report has been created which details the location name, address and number of systems covered for each third party contract.

o    The report also summarizes counts for the number of locations covered, number of plans, and total number of systems covered.

Purchase Order Preview/Print

Line items will now show whether an item is taxable in the 'Tax' column, including when saved to text/data file

'Subtotal' replaces 'Total Amount' as the pre-tax total.

'Tax' amount is now displayed.

'Total' amount now includes tax.

Pay Base Import

Added Last Name, First Name, and Company Name columns (all from location).

Added column sort functionality. Clicking on a column title will sort the list in ascending order. All items within that chosen sort will be sorted by Pay Base Date.

Snap Shot

Redesigned Snap Shot to have a sleeker, more modern appearance.

The existing 'Call Backs' measure is now 'Open Call Backs', and will reflect any ongoing Call Back.

Added 'Call Backs' measure which will display the number of non-canceled Call Backs as determined by the length of time in the options

Changed Call Backs option to be either today or a number of days backward from today rather than the previous date range. This setting will save.

Purchase Order Item Status Report

Added Qty column to display total quantity and value on PO, regardless of status

'Ord' column replaced by 'Ordered' - which populates for any status other than "Not Ordered"

Corrected calculation errors that were causing dollar amounts to be allocated in the wrong columns

Set quantities to two decimals to prevent excessively long numbers

Re-worded the messages that are displayed when SuccessWare®21 detects that the MaxFileHandles setting must be updated. The messages should now more clearly indicate that it is an important and necessary thing to do, but that SuccessWare may be still run if the system administrator is not available and it is not possible to get the settings changed immediately.

Filtering for jobs by 'Incomplete' will now return all incomplete jobs, including those with an invoice previously posted.

Import files missing the ItemNo column will no longer trigger the message “The data types varchar and text are incompatible in the equal to operator”. Instead the more user-friendly message will be included: “Could not add pricebook part: ItemNo, Description, and Price are required”.

Vehicle Manager

The different views will now refresh automatically when a relevant change is made to another view.

When creating a new vehicle record, the user must save or cancel the record before clicking to a different line. The explicit save action is necessary for the form to fully apply the updates to the database preventing the illusion that was saved when it was actually was not.
