DESCRIPTION

RELEASE 1.6.100.52 4/4/05
4/4/2005
Call Taking
(MSDE/SQL Server only) Since version 1.6.100.51, notes
entered in call taking were not being saved for later review. The job and location were still updating
properly, however.
3/31/2005
Inventory related posting
Some errors with tags were not being trapped
properly. Posting would fail, but not
all pending updates were being rolled back which could result in partially
posted items. For example, it was
possible to end up with a posted A/P invoice that had no payable or G/L
entries.
RELEASE 1.6.100.51 3/29/05
3/29/2005
Call Taking
(SQL Server / MSDE) Made a change in an attempt to prevent
an occasional 'APPLYUPDS FAILED' (access violation error in Kernel32.exe)
error when attempting to post a phone call.
3/24/2005
Pricebook Item Search
Added a little bit to the width of the form to make a
certain grid scrolling problem less likely to occur.
3/24/2005
Agreement
You could enter a completed billing count for a new
agreement, which would disallow editing.
The system would incorrectly think that the agreement had posted
billings. Completed billing count is only
intended to be used for "converted" agreements, and is now disabled
until the agreement is made "converted".
3/22/2005
General
On occasion, when selecting a customer from the drop down
list of "hidden" customers, the forms would display behind the Call Center
if the Call Center was open. It was then necessary to close the Call Center
in order to see the selected customer.
A change was made that we expect will prevent this problem.
RELEASE 1.6.100.50 3/21/05

the error "Rowset position cannot be
restarted".
2/23/2005

Using the "Add more periods" option when
creating the first payroll period(s) would result in one of the prior periods
being added to the list with an incorrect end date.
2/23/2005
Printed Work Order (Agreement section)
Since version 1.6.100.43 (1.6.200.09), the status of perpetual

2/16/2005
Job / A/R Invoice
(MS Access) Since version 1.6.100.44, Work Done and Work
Suggested would sometimes have garbage in them after adding a new job from
the Customer Form.
2/16/2005
Invoice Retainage
Descriptions of retainage
balance items on the Bill Retainage page were
getting truncated.
Modified the confirmation dialog that is displayed when
Apply is selected to be a little clearer about outlining the selected
choices.
2/15/2005
Purchase Order
The Copy Quote feature was only working when the job
assigned to the PO had been created from a sales job with a completed
quote. When attempting to copy from a
project quote or a generic quote (i.e. typing in the quote number), no items
would be created on the PO.
2/15/2005
Inventory Transfers
Changed the message displayed when restocking a warehouse
based upon min/max and no items require restocking to read "No items
require restock based upon min/max".
The old message displayed was misleading.

Reduced font size and increased the size of the

2/14/2005
Invoice Item Detail Report
Increased the size of the Description column.
2/11/2005
Purchasing Wizard
A restock list created based upon Min/Max will show items
that do not need to be ordered because a sufficient quantity may already on
order. These items ("red
lined" in the list), however, would cause validation of the list to
fail, and a purchase order for the other items could not be created until all
of the "red lined" items were deleted. These "red lined" items will now
just be skipped so that PO's can be created for the other items in the list.
Restock lists based upon Min/Max were not always properly
taking account of quantities already on order.
2/9/2005
Job Summary
(SQL Server/MSDE) On occasion when modifying both Work
Done and Work Suggested notes, posting would fail with 'A database
transaction failed to complete...'.
2/9/2005

When expanding subaccounts, the subaccount description was missing in the Other Expense
section of the report.

In the Agreements section of the report Renewals and
expired agreements were showing "Active". Modified the Status column to reflect
renewals and expired agreements.
Adding sorting to the agreements so that, in general,
current agreements will be closer to the top of the list.
2/9/2005
Pricebook Item Search
Since version 1.6.100.42 an error ('Ambiguous column
name') would occur during some item searches.
This situation was also preventing the creation of vendor receipts
form purchase orders.
RELEASE 1.6.100.42 2/8/05
2/8/2005
A/R Invoice - Copy From Quote
When copying from a generic quote (a quote other than a
quote for the attached sales job), information on the invoice specific to the
job – Location and Billing Account ID’s, Salesperson, Customer PO Number, Tax
Code/Rates - will no longer be overwritten from the quote.
When the department on the quote does not match the
invoice, the department on the invoice is no longer overwritten. However, there is a message dialog
indicating the need to review the departments for accuracy.
2/8/2005
Inventory Manager
Deleting warehouses checks for unposted
receipts/invoices. Cancel receipts or
invoices were showing up as unposted.
2/7/2005
Timecard
Sometimes when inserting a new "dispatched" or
"onsite" timecard entry in the timecard, garbage characters would
show in the Job No field. These would
ultimately cause no harm as they would be overridden when a real job number
was selected.
2/7/2005
Receivables Manager
Certain options that do not apply to a particular view are
now non-visible instead of just disabled.
There has been some confusion about which actions apply to which
views.
2/4/2005
Pricebook Item Search
After searching by Vendor Item Number when entering AR
Invoice line items, various problems would occur in the invoice, including
inability to edit or insert line items and error messages such as 'Too few
parameters'.

2/2/2005
Project Management
The project cost/sales summary on the Phases page of the
Project form was excluding future dated entries.
2/1/2005
Project Estimates
Even though the Est Hours column
was "X"ed out, the system would still
allow you to enter hours for non-labor items, which would cause the total
hours to appear incorrect since you could not see the hours entered for the
non-labor items.
2/1/2005
Scorecard Reports
Since version 1.6.100.40, when first opening the Job or
Invoice Scorecard Reports, the following error would display: "Invalid
date range: Both a 'from' date and a 'thru' date are required". The message would occur again if you tried
to change the period setting before entering an As Of Date.

would display.
1/26/2005
Sales Call Sheet
Added location phone #2 to the report.
1/26/2005
A/R Invoice
When adding an additional invoice for a job, the Total
Sale at the top of the invoice form would show the sale amount from the prior
invoice until you started adding line items to the new invoice.
1/21/2005
A/R Invoice
It was possible to verify parts on posted cost plus
invoices which would change the cost and thus the price on the invoice even
though it was already posted. This was
only an issue with very old invoices since a change was made some time ago
that prevents posting of cost plus invoices with unverified part detail.
1/20/2005
A/R Invoice
Added a shortcut key (shift+ctrl+V)
for Resolve Inventory Tags to the main invoice form for compatibility with
the "Enter Cost" form.

up if the call had been dispatched or on-site.

1/12/2005
Help
Miscellaneous help file updates.
1/11/2005
Pricebook
(SQL Server/MSDE) When entering a new item in the pricebook and using the Add New Category/Group form, if
more than 15 characters were typed into the Category or Group fields, or more
than 100 characters into either of the description fields, saving the new
category/group would fail with "string or binary data would be
truncated".
1/7/2005
Billing Account History

Default accounts cannot be changed until the account

allowing the account to be changed in this situation.

calls are included - i.e. calls with no date assigned. This distinguishes this view from the
meaning of the call progress 'Unscheduled'.
In terms of job or call progress, an unscheduled call is a call that
does not have both a date and time assigned.
12/27/2004
Purchase Order, Material Requisition
The Job, Job Manager, and Call Center would allow you to
create a PO or a requisition for a sales job.

then the number is searched both with and without the area code.
12/13/2004

12/7/2004
Job Manager
The Close Backlogged Jobs utility would display a message for

report displayed or printed at the end of the process.

Receivables / Cash Receipts
When using Post Cash Receipts from the Receivables Manager

posted. Selecting Post was causing a
'Cancel Allocations?' prompt to occur and the only way out was to answer Yes
and cancel the posting.
Also when using Post Cash Receipts from the Receivables
Manager, when manual allocation was canceled, an attempt to post another
payment to the same billing account would result is a failure to obtain a
billing account lock.

while partial call progress entries existed in the payroll period. The problem in payroll allowing that
situation was corrected some time ago.
But some users still had jobs that could not be closed because of
these partially completed call progress entries. The software will now allow these jobs to
be closed.

Call Taking
Since version 1.6.100.25, a concern or other phone call
could not be posted without a name and address entered. This is too restrictive and has been
modified. Concern and other calls do
not need a name and address unless an existing location had been selected. This still prevents name and address
information from being deleted out of existing locations which was the intent
of the original change in 1.5.200.34.

Billing Account History, Vendor Account History

Call Taking
You could start a non-IsService

Location table where almost all columns are NULL. The system now requires a minimum amount of
information - name address, and phone number.
Also, you could select a location, delete out the
location information - name, address, etc., and then post the phone
call. Posting would clear out all the
information on the location, and billing account if it had a carbon copy
account. This can no longer occur.

Timecard Assistant
The correct week would not be initially highlighted in
the calendar if the default date was not in the same week of the current
(today's) date.
Timecard entries could not be reviewed because of a
problem with the length of the Timecard Entry Status column. Entries created for Timecard Entry Status
codes longer than 10 characters cannot be reviewed. The problem has been corrected for timecard
entries created after this update, but entries created prior to this update
still will not be able to be reviewed in the Timecard Assistant. You may delete and recreate the entries if
it is absolutely necessary to be able to review them in the Timecard
Assistant.
(SQL Server/MSDE only) Timecard entries could not be
reviewed because the comparison for the requested Time In was not working

that the system assigned rather than the time you entered to create the

Will skip items with numbers greater than 15
characters. The automatic truncation
that was occurring would causing duplicate item numbers that would fail to import

Payroll Deferred Wages
Some deferred wages (wages earned in prior periods) -
for example, those entered through the Piece Rate Assistant - were not
getting flagged as such, and therefore, were not properly triggering adjustments
for overtime earned in the prior period (when the wages were marked RegOT).

Payroll - Commissions for Job
Commissions earned in a prior period were not getting flagged
as deferred wages when a commission was entered and the default date provided
was not modified.
If the employee code was changed on a commission
entry, the wage entry would show up for both employees on the Deferred Wages
report, and if the commission was RegOT overtime
adjustments due would not be generated based the commission.

Payroll Deferred Wages report
An employee code was being required once you clicked
or tabbed into the employee code field.
This was unnecessary -- employee code is optional.
Ordered the query by employee. Wages for an employee were scattered
throughout the report when there were deferred wages from multiple prior
periods.

Journal Entries

Logoffs prevented because a particular form could not be
closed were being logged as errors.
These events are now logged as information only events.
PO event types were listed in the event log form's
drop down list, but no events are ever recorded for these event types. Removed them from the list.

Job Summary
It was rather cumbersome when it was necessary to make
changes to job summary to a closed job.
Now if you have the ability to re-open jobs, you will be able to edit
job summary without having to close job summary, open the job form, re-open
the job, and go back to job summary.

A/R Invoice
If a counter sale invoice was posted, adjusted, and
finally voided it was easy to overlook the fact that there were tags
remaining for processing returns to inventory. The software will now automatically process
the returns prior to voiding the invoice.
The invoice cannot be voided until the returns are successfully
completed.

Location List report
The item count displayed prior to running the report
does not exactly match the count printed at the end of the report. Due to the nature of the report queries,
this cannot be easily corrected. But
the count prior to running the report indicates that the count is
approximate.

Payroll Deferred Wages report
When the report had deferred wages earned in multiple
payroll periods, each prior period was being reported, but each of the
deferred wages entries in the current period were being applied to all of the
prior periods involved instead of just the appropriate prior period.
Modified the layout of the report to better illustrate
how the rate adjustment is being calculated.
Added a message that a period selection must be made
in order to run the report. Previously
the report would not run, but there was no message why.
