Printed Invoice & Statement

Long names would cause wrapping in the name/address section of the printed invoice and statement.  The space for this section has been expanded in order to minimize this occurrence.  It is also recommended that proper case (upper and lower) be used when keying in name/address.  This will also minimize wrapping of this text.

Agreement Manager

Inventory Adjustments

When doing physical count adjustment, there is a new feature to zero out all counts for the adjustment.  This is useful if you just want to start over with zero quantities on hand.

When charging service to an agreement and overcharging the reserve balance, the excess warranty charges G/l account was being used instead of the excess agreement charges account.

Accounts Payable

Prevent reversing a payment that had been included as an item in another payment.  This maintains the integrity of the other payment and its check stub.  In addition, the reversal would cause the other payment to end up with a positive balance, which the system would not allow to be allocated to other credits.

Timecard Entry

When you first open Modify Timecard, the data entry fields at the top of the screen were blank, instead of being pre-filled with information from the first entry for the day.  If you did not press INSERT before making a new entry, when you tried to save your entry, you would get 'Error: could not update assignment', then 'Error updating links'.  The data entry fields are now pre-filled, and it is apparent that INSERT must be used for a new entry.

Added a report database integrity checker that makes sure the report database is in balance, and that balances have been carried forward to the next period properly.  This utility runs each time a financial report or the G/L inquiry form is opened.

Added a message dialog that informs the user if a report compilation should fail (ends up out of balance, etc.).

G/L Financial Reports

When using the Must Print option on G/L accounts, the reports would include amounts for the Must Print accounts that were outside of the selected range of periods.  This affected any line on the Trial Balance and Income Statement reports and the Current Year Earnings line on the Balance Sheet.  The Trial Balance and Balance Sheet would be out of balance.

A/R Invoice

When entering (or deleting) an agreement line item, the agreement form was not being notified of changes to the agreement table.  You would then be able to modify the agreement independently of the invoice line item, causing changes to the agreement to not be reflected on the line item.

The list of available unactivated 'New' agreements was not always refreshed after creating or deleting a new agreement line item on the invoice.

The "posted" column in the inventory manager now displays "P" for posted, "A" for adjusting, "C" for canceled.

If a payment method is not defined properly and does not have a payment type assigned, do not allow the cash receipt to post.  Invalid payment types in the account register would cause problems with reconciliation and the bank deposit.
