SuccessWare®21 has a feature for categorizing Lead Sources called Lead Source Types. Lead Source Types will allow you to group related Lead Sources (such as direct mail campaigns or radio ads) for reporting purposes.
The Lead Source Type book is available in Customer Service Reference Books. The Lead Source Type reference book is pre-populated with a number of common types. You can modify and/or add more Lead Source Types if necessary.
The following is a list of Lead Source Types that are included in the new reference book by default.
The Lead Source book, also in the Customer Service section of the Reference Library, includes a Lead Source Type column. This field is used to associate each Lead Source with a Lead Source Type.
When updating from an older version of SuccessWare®21 prior to the addition of this lead source type feature, SuccessWare®21 provides an opportunity to update lead sources to lead source types of your choosing. During the update, SuccessWare21 automatically assigns its best guess fit based upon any recognizable text in the descriptions on the lead sources. Any lead source that SuccessWare21 cannot auto-assign will be assigned to Lead Source Type = 'Other'. You must review and approve these Lead Source Types assignments. To do this, simply access and review the lead source reference book. Review the automatic lead source type assignments and correct any as necessary. On exit of the Lead Source reference book, you will be prompted to accept all Lead Sources with assigned Lead Source Types. If you have not completed the review, answer No and Exit. If you accept all Lead Source Type assignments, you are then prompted to update your historical data.
Note: Once you have updated history for all of your lead sources, updating prompts will no longer occur. However, if you decide later on that you need to make additional lead source type changes and apply those changes to history, an option to “Reset confirmation and history update” is available. This option can be used for individually selected lead sources, or can be applied to all if you are making changes to many of your lead sources. To access this option, in the Lead Sources reference book, go into Modify Mode, right-click, select “Reset confirmation and history update”, and select either “selected lead source only” or “all lead sources”.
The Location, Job, Project, and Call Taking forms have been updated to include Lead Source Type for data entry. During data entry Lead Sources will be filtered based on the Lead Source Type selection.
A number of reports have been modified to allow filtering, sorting, grouping, and the export of Lead Source Type.
The table below identifies the reports to which the Lead Source Type has been added and in which features of the report it is available.
