Location Documents

You can store and easily access digital pictures, scanned images or other documents related to service locations, directly from within SuccessWare21.  From any Location related form or document, from the ‘open’ menu, you can open ‘Location documents…’.  This feature maintains a link to a file folder specific for each service location.  You can manage the file names and subfolders anyway you desire to organize your location documents.

Storage Setup

Image Storage can be configured in the Company Setup form, on the ‘Other’ tab.  Select ‘edit’ and then select the ‘Location Documents Setup…’ button.  This will open the Location Documents Setup form.  Here you will specify the Root Storage Folder for SuccessWare21 to store documents.

Root Storage Folder

Select the root folder where SuccessWare21 should store and locate documents.  SuccessWare21 will automatically create a subfolders structure at this path which will individual storage folders for each location.

The Root Storage Folder must be an existing path visible from your workstation.  This same path specification will be used from all computers that will be using SuccessWare21 and accessing the location storage folders.  For this reason, the path must be specified to use a UNC named path or mapped drive that will be consistent and accessible from all workstations that will use SuccessWare21.

For ASP users, you must setup the mapped drive “S:\” on you local network.   Your ASP session is preconfigured to map “S:\” back to your local “S:\”.  If you are already using the S: drive mapping for some other purpose, then you are permitted to use a T: drive instead.

Be sure this storage location has enough free space for your SuccessWare21 documents.  If you need more storage space, contact SuccessWare Customer Support for information regarding online storage solutions.
