Third Party Agent Manager

 

The Agent Manager controls access to the SuccessWare21® database by third party agents.  To open the Agent Manager, you must have administrative rights with in SuccessWare21®.  Select from the main menu: “ Setup | Utilities | Administrative Tools | Agent Manager”.  Third party agents cannot access the SuccessWare21® databases until a SuccessWare21® user, having administrative ability, expressly enables the individual agent access via the Agent Manager.

Granting Access to Your Data

Until a third party agent has attempted to access SuccessWare21®, you cannot grant the agent access.  The agent will not show up in the Agent Manager until it first attempts to access SuccessWare21®.  The SuccessWare21® Http Server must be running for a third party agent to access SuccessWare21®.

To grant access:

1)       Enter a password for the agent in the top grid of the Agent Manager.  This password will need to be supplied to the third party provider in order for their software to properly access SuccessWare21®.  This is how you, as a SuccessWare21® Administrator can control grant/deny third party access to your data.

2)       Enable access to individual companies by double clicking the line in the lower grid for the specific company.  Each double click with toggle the state from enabled/disabled.  The state must show enabled “true” for the agent to access the specific companies data.

3)       Select to enable or disable messaging.  If enabling messaging, specify the forwarding url address of the third party server application.

Messaging

Successware21 will post messages for third party applications.  Messages are posted when…

The messages are recorded so that they might be retrieved by the third party application.  Messages will be recorded for any agent with Messaging Enabled in the Agent Manager.  The SuccessWare21 Http Server will forward these messages to the Server URL if specified for that agent in the Agent Manager. 

Reviewing Connections/Sessions

Click on the “Connections” button at the bottom of the Agent Manager to review the connections for the selected agent.  From the Agent Connection Manager, you can review sessions for selected connections, refresh and disconnection sessions and connections.  This manager is meant to reset connections/session as a maintenance feature if they should become stuck.  This manager can also be used to terminate session/connections to stop access to the SuccessWare21® databases by third party agents.

NOTE: Third party agents cannot access the SuccessWare21® databases with a SuccessWare21® user expressly enabling access to the agent via the Agent Manager.
